A/Prof Michael Woodward AM is a Geriatrician with a passion for health promotion in older people, including vaccine-preventable diseases. He is Director of Aged Care Research at Austin Health and has conducted several trials of vaccines. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Immunization Coalition and has written the Position Paper on Immunization of older people for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine. In 2016 he received Membership of the Order of Australia for his work in geriatric medicine and his communication to professionals.
