Dr Stephen Birrell is founder and chief medical officer of Wellend Health, an Adelaide women’s health clinic and research centre. In addition, Stephen is a senior research fellow at Dame Roma Mitchell Laboratories at Adelaide University. He was the head of the breast cancer unit at Flinders University, Adelaide, for 20 years, before resigning in 2014 to focus on breast cancer prevention research. Stephen is also the co-founder of the biopharmaceutical company, HAVAH Therapeutics Pty Ltd.
