In this update, Registered Nurse and Immunisation Education Consultant Angela Newbound delivers essential updates on pneumococcal eligibility, declining vaccination rates, common administration errors, and state based program news, while Geriatrician A/Prof Michael Woodward AM unpacks the pneumococcal disease burden in older Australians and the newly funded vaccine now protecting them, equipping clinicians to vaccinate confidently.
