What does it mean when a facial red rash does not respond to topical steroids, and in fact, gets worse with the treatment? In this talk, dermatologist Dr Philip Tong presents a series of cases with just this scenario. Using these cases Dr Tong will demonstrate how to systematically assess the patient presenting with a facial red, steroid-resistant rash as well as outlining the features in the history and presentation that give clues to the diagnosis. He will also, importantly, discuss the appropriate management of these conditions and when further investigation or referral might be needed.
