Description

Contrary to popular opinion, pulmonary fibrosis is not rare. However, on average, it takes two years before this distressing and potentially fatal condition is diagnosed. Now that life-prolonging treatments are available, it is more important than ever that these patients be identified and diagnosed as soon as possible.

In this very practical presentation, A/Prof Nicole Goh outlines the key features of pulmonary fibrosis from presenting and distinguishing signs, testing, diagnosis, and to the latest evidence-based treatments. She will also provide an update on the current prognosis and natural history of pulmonary fibrosis, as well as the GP’s role in managing  patients with this not uncommon condition.
