A/Prof Geoff Lester is an Australian-trained Vascular Medicine Physician based in Melbourne who leads the Marfan and Inherited Aortopathy statewide referral clinic at Alfred Health. He is the only Vascular Medicine specialist consulting privately in Victoria and specialises in complex genetic and acquired aortic and cardiovascular conditions, working closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons and geneticists to provide integrated medical management, surveillance and prevention.

A/Prof Lester trained across major tertiary centres in New South Wales and Victoria, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, MonashHeart, the Victorian Heart Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. He has training in cardiology and internal medicine, having obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and Acute Care Medicine in 2025. He completed post-fellowship training in vascular and perioperative medicine at The Alfred Hospital.

He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University. He holds several national leadership roles, including as National Ambassador for the Heart Foundation, National Lead of the THINK Aorta ANZ campaign, one of only two Australian specialists in the International Aortic Network, Non-Executive Director of Hearts4Heart and medical advisory committee member for Connective Disease Tissue Network Australia. He is frequently invited to speak on the intersection of patient experience, clinical medicine and health system reform.
