Dr Laura Wheller

Dr Wheller completed a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and Master of Epidemiology at the University of Queensland, before becoming a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2016.

Dr Wheller founded the specialist general adult, paediatric and cosmetic dermatology practice Ascot Dermatology in 2022. She has also been a consultant at the Queensland Children’s Hospital since 2018, where she trains junior doctors and supervises clinical research projects in paediatric dermatology. She is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland School of Medicine, and also currently serves on the Australasian College of Dermatologists National Examinations Committee.

Dr Wheller’s special areas of interest include skin cancer detection and management, acne, complex skin rashes, vulval skin disorders and paediatric dermatology. In her spare time, she is a mum to two young daughters and an adopted greyhound.
