Dr Marita Long, A/Prof Michael Woodward AM

Dr Marita Long is a Victorian based GP working across clinical practice, medical education and research. She has a strong interest in women’s health and cognitive health. She is a current committee member for the Australian Society of Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a member of the WIGP RACGP committee and is the President-Elect of the Australasian Menopause Society. Marita is actively engaged in various projects related to dementia, and is the first GP appointed as an Honorary Medical Advisor for Dementia Australia and a Clinical Assoc Professor for Wicking Dementia Education and Research Centre.

Associate Prof Michael Woodward AM is a Geriatrician with a passion for health promotion in older people, including vaccine-preventable diseases. He is Director of Aged Care Research at Austin Health and has conducted several trials of vaccines.
He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Immunization Coalition and has written the Position Paper on Immunization of older people for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine. In 2016 he received Membership of the Order of Australia for his work in geriatric medicine and his communication to professionals.
