Dr Tomasz Block is an Endocrinologist with appointments at The Alfred Hospital and the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne. His clinical and academic interests span obesity and metabolic disease, cardiometabolic health, and metabolic bone disorders, with a particular focus on driving the translation of emerging metabolic therapies to address major unmet clinical needs. His research achievements have been supported by competitive funding from the Heart Foundation, the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, and the National Health and Medical Research Council. Dr Block’s current PhD research at the Monash University Department of Diabetes is advancing next-generation RNA therapeutics with the potential to transform the treatment of metabolic disease.
