Jarrod Warner & Irene Schneider

Jarrod Warner is the Manager of Clinical Quality at Resources Safety and Health Queensland. He leads the team that supports regulation of occupational-health obligations across Queensland’s resources industry, overseeing clinical quality assurance for medical providers delivering statutory screening for mine and quarry workers. A respiratory physiologist by training, he is a Certified Respiratory Function Scientist and former President of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science, where he now serves on the Governance Committee. He recently chaired the TSANZ Community Spirometry Program Expert Working Group, developing national community spirometry standards under the Australian Government’s Prioritising Improved Care for People with Dust-Related Diseases – Education and Training for Medical Professionals grant. His focus is strengthening standards and accreditation while driving continuous improvement across provider services for resource worker health.

Irene Schneider is the Clinical Educator for Respiratory Sciences at Queensland Health and an advanced respiratory scientist at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She recently served on the TSANZ Community Spirometry Program Expert Working Group, contributing to the development of national community spirometry standards through the Australian Government’s Prioritising Improved Care for People with Dust-Related Diseases – Education and Training for Medical Professionals grant, representing the Australian and New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science. Irene has a strong focus on education and training for health professionals in respiratory sciences and is dedicated to ensuring equitable spirometry training across all healthcare sectors. She leads these efforts as chair and program coordinator of the Queensland Health Spirometry Training Program.
