Dr Karen Spielman is a director in a mixed billing General Practice in Paddington in Sydney where she has been for over 20 years, seeing mainly people with chronic complex issues. She has also always worked in specialised settings such as Youth Health Centres, headspace and now has established a private multidisciplinary Eating Disorder practice. Dr Spielman is a GP Consultant and Senior Research Associate at Inside Out Institute for Eating Disorders at the University of Sydney, and a Peer Group facilitator for the Australian Society for Psychological Medicine. She is currently serving as Chair of the RACGP Psychological Medicine Specific Interest Group.
