A/Prof Trainer is a Clinical Geneticist and lead clinician in the Parkville familial cancer service and Department of Genomic medicine department, Peter MacCallum cancer centre and The Royal Melbourne hospital. Alison is a clinical geneticist-researcher with a specialist interest in familial cancer with over 20-year experience both in Australia and the UK and she heads the genetic endocrine clinic at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Her current focus is on developing genomic testing programs which are equitable, effective and person-centred in implementation. She leads the inherited cancer digital health research group.
