Dr Samuel Ryder

Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychogeriatrician
Dr Samuel Ryder is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychogeriatrician. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, holds an Advanced Certificate in the Psychiatry of Old Age, and is an accredited RANZCP supervisor. Dr Ryder studied economics, politics, law, and medicine at The University of Queensland, completed psychiatry training in Brisbane, and continues to hold a public appointment that includes psychogeriatric outreach to South West Queensland.

Dr Ryder has an interest in mood, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychopharmacology, neurostimulation, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in adults. As a Psychogeriatrician, he also has expertise in the management of these conditions in older age, neurocognitive disorders, capacity assessments, and the mental health of medically complex patients.
