Prof Creswell Eastman

Biography

Creswell Eastman is Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of Sydney and a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Public Health and current Chairman of the Australian Centre for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (www.ACCIDD.org) He has led major projects into thyroid disease and Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) in China, Tibet, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and several Pacific Islands and has been a Consultant on IDD to WHO, UNICEF and the World Bank. He led the National Iodine Nutrition Study conducted on Australian children in 2003-2004. He is the author of the chapter on IDD in the web-based textbook
