A/Prof Piyush Srivastava is a Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist at Advara HeartCare.
His areas of interest and research include valvular heart disease, heart failure, diabetic cardiovascular disease, cardio-oncology and all aspects of non-invasive cardiac imaging including stress, trans thoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography as well as Cardiac MRI/CT.

A widely published clinical researcher, A/Prof Srivastava holds a Clinical Associate Professor position at the University of Melbourne and supervises Cardiology Fellows as well as PhD candidates. He has also been appointed Honorary Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne, with numerous publications in highly regarded peer reviewed journals from around the world.

A/Prof Ralph Audehm is a GP of 35 years experience.
An Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, University of Melbourne, Department of General practice. He has a broad interest in chronic disease management, diabetes, heart disease and transitional research.
He has owned his own practice, worked for NGOs as well as in the community health sector. He believes that primary care and general practice is the key to providing better health outcomes for all Australians.

Dr Talwar is a consultant radiologist with subspecialty training in musculoskeletal imaging and image-guided interventions. He did his specialty Radiology training through St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and was fortunate enough to be awarded the gold medal for his Fellowship Radiology examinations. Dr Talwar is now heavily involved in image-guided procedural work allowing him to interact directly with patients, their families and referrers. He works privately in United Radiology and has a public appointment at Northern Health. His group, led by A/Prof Tom Sutherland, are passionate in improving the Radiologist-GP relationship and in doing so, providing high-quality imaging that aims to ensure best quality care for our patients.

Dr Jason Lam was originally a professional dancer and artist before a major injury changed his career path. He studied medicine at Flinders University in South Australia before working in both Plastic Surgery and Dermatology in the Northern Territory and New South Wales Tertiary hospitals. He endeavours to ensure a holistic and collaborative approach to patient care, helping them achieve their goals. He is a philomath with interests in surgery, dermatology, sports medicine, the assessment and management of skin cancer, general medicine, pain, chronic wounds and complex cases. He likes to think of himself as a less pathologic ‘Dr House’ and thrives on diagnostic challenges and complexity.
He gained his Fellowship in General Practice and has also completed a Diploma of Child Health, a Certificate in Practical Dermoscopy from the Australian College of Dermatology and a Masters of Sports Medicine. He was the inaugural Crichton Dance Medicine fellow with the Australian Ballet. He has undertaken further training with the Australian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and is involved in medical education, publication and research. He is committed to ongoing professional development and is privileged to work alongside some of the best across many fields. He currently consults at Bluff Road Medical Centre. He offers a specialised service and does not offer routine general practice care, but is very pleased to work alongside your regular GP and healthcare team to ensure your needs and goals are met.

Prof Baber AM is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Sydney. Prof Baber is a life member and Past President of both the Australasian menopause Society and the International Menopause Society. He was editor in chief of Climacteric from 2016-2024 and chair of the scientific programme committee for the 2024 World Congress on Menopause held in Melbourne. His awards include the RANZCOG Distinguished service medal, The IMS Lifetime Achievement and Distinguished Service awards and Membership of The Order of Australia for service to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Jason Ray is an academic neurologist and headache sub-specialist who works both publicly and privately in Melbourne. He is the deputy head of the headache service at Alfred Health and Austin Health, and a research fellow at the school of translational medicine, Monash University. Dr Ray has engaged in both commercial and investigator-initiated clinical trials, with over 50 publications, several book chapters and he completed his PhD in migraine therapies. He is a committee member for the Australian and New Zealand Headache Society and regularly teaches medical students and doctors in training.

Associate Prof Michael Woodward AM is a Geriatrician with a passion for health promotion in older people, including vaccine-preventable diseases. He is Director of Aged Care Research at Austin Health and has conducted several trials of vaccines. He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Immunization Coalition and has written the Position Paper on Immunization of older people for the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine. In 2016 he received Membership of the Order of Australia for his work in geriatric medicine and his communication to professionals.
Dr Ramesh Manocha is an Australian GP, Researcher and CEO of Healthed. He completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of New South Wales. His PhD was completed at the Royal Hospital for Women and focused on the scientific evaluation of meditation and the mental silence experience.

Professor Farmer is an academic researcher with a special interest in outcomes research in transfusion and Blood Health and translating evidence into standard practice. He is one of the pioneers in Patient Blood Management and consults on PBM implementation, having been in the field for over 3 ½ decades. He is a Professor at The University of Western Australia, within the Discipline of Surgery, Medical School, and Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC). He is on the World Health Organization (WHO) External Steering Committee for Patient Blood Management Implementation. He is an Honorary Research Fellow, Department of Haematology, Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Western Australia, and is on the East Metropolitan Health Service Hospital in a Virtual Environment (HIVE) Haematology/ Trauma Research Committee. Since 2008 he has been on the National Blood Authority (Australia) Clinical Reference Group and the Australian Jurisdictional Blood Committee Working Group developing and updating the Australian Patient Blood Management Guidelines.

He is on the Executive Committee of the Western Australia Patient Blood Management Group, a co-founder and Scientific Associate of the International Foundation for Patient Blood Management (IFPBM), and a founding member of the Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management (SABM). He is Section Editor for the journal Anesthesia & Analgesia – a global leader in anesthesiology and the oldest continuous anaesthesia journal and the most cited. He designed and implemented Australia’s first comprehensive multidisciplinary Blood Conservation Program in 1990 and from 2007-2013 he was a consultant to the Western Australia (WA) Department of Health, during which time he co-designed and co-implemented the world’s first health-system-wide PBM Program. He was the senior author of the Program results paper – the world’s largest study on the impact of a PBM Program on clinical and economic outcomes – published in the journal Transfusion (Leahy et al 2017). This paper is the Most Accessed and second Most Cited article in Transfusion.

Shannon has over 100 peer-reviewed research publications, abstracts, and book chapters, and two books, on patient blood management implementation, and transfusion practice and outcomes. Along with 48 international PBM experts, he is the lead author of the 2023 PBM compendium, “Blood Works: An Owner’s Guide. What Every Person Needs to Know BEFORE They are a Patient,” published in English, Spanish, German, and with other languages planned. He has been a Principal, Associate, and Chief Investigator, on clinical trials and studies. He has consulted to a number of national and international health bodies, departments of health, and institutions, assisting with developing PBM programs and doing collaborative research.

He has received international awards for his work, including the Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management (SABM) Dr Kathleen J Sazama Award “For Outstanding Leadership in Advancing Patient Rights and Patient Blood Management.”

Professor Sarah Dunlop is Director of Plastics & Human Health at Minderoo Foundation. She leads a global mission to eliminate the harmful impacts of plastic pollution, both chemicals and microplastic particles, on people and accelerate the transition to safe materials. Attribution science centres on identifying causal evidence, and therefore industry accountability, while advocacy and engagement put the right evidence into the right hands. Research involves evidence synthesis and global research partners conducting hybrid epidemiology, clinical trials and measurement science. She is recognized internationally for bringing together science, policy, investment and innovation to address a defining health challenge of our time.

Kate is is currently project managing clinical education for healthcare practitioners on myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). She has extensive previous experience as a Nurse Immuniser. Post-graduate certificates in Infection Control and Health Professional Education, with experience in acute care infection control programs: outbreak response; surgical site surveillance; staff education. Honours in nursing with a focus on quantitative data analysis and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Kate is interested in infectious diseases, communicable disease control, patient decision making and agency in the health care encounter and chronic disease management. She has lived experience with a disability and as a carer.

Dr Jennifer Lim is a medical oncologist with permanent clinical appointments at St George Public Hospital and Sutherland Hospital, and a Visiting Medical Officer at St George Private Hospital and Genesis Care Waratah Private.

She completed her MBBS at the University of New South Wales in 2011 and her basic physician training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital network. Her oncology advanced training was based at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Concord Hospital, with a clinical fellowship at The Kinghorn Cancer Care Centre. Dr Lim has completed her PhD at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in translational biomarkers.

She is the clinical lead of the St George Interdisciplinary Neuroendocrine Group and a member of the head and neck and genitourinary multidisciplinary teams.
