Sam Payne is the Founder and CEO of The Pink Elephants Support Network, Australia’s national early pregnancy loss charity. Based in Sydney, Pink Elephants provides early intervention peer support programs, national advocacy and awareness campaigns calling for better bereavement support for anyone impacted by early pregnancy loss or miscarriage.

Its work is underpinned by evidence and empathy, drawn from the lived experiences of hundreds of thousands of women and their families. Sam is the author of Pink Elephants’ Not Just A Loss report and the Pink Elephants Care Standards, and works with clinicians, governments and researchers to make sure every person who experiences pregnancy loss is recognised and supported.
