  • If no longer benefitting from oral therapy, it is time to consider device-assisted therapies and referral to a specialist centre
  • Apomorphine injections, Duodopa intestinal gel infusion via a PEG tube and deep brain stimulation have given patients quality of life
  • These options need to be offered early as the need arises rather than delayed until symptoms and conditions are unbearable
