  • How approximately 50% of your patients, mostly the younger ones, would have looked up their health problem before seeing you
  • How the success of the interaction depends upon the health professional’s ability to understand the patient’s level of health, and understanding that their perspective is a “work in progress”
  • Knowing that their views may well change over time, and that we are privileged to be able to journey with them respectfully, making sure they are heard, teaching when we can, and ensuring they are safe
