In this episode:

  • Anyone with BCC or SCC is at higher risk for an internal malignancy or melanoma
  • The risk is especially great for those with a first non-melanomatous skin cancer diagnosed under the age of 24
  • GPs must screen these patients for melanoma and have a high index of suspicion for internal malignancies for these patients moving forward
