In this Healthed lecture, Prof McCluskey AO, explains that herpes zoster affecting the eye not only causes severe pain, but can be associated with significant long-term sequelae. And this particular form of shingles is still occurring frequently despite the zoster vaccine. Here, Prof McCluskey AO will provide an overview of the incidence and prevalence of this condition and its possible consequences, as well as giving an update on what’s new in terms of understanding, management and prevention of Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus.
