Prof Wayne Warburton

Registered Psychologist; Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology, Macquarie University
Dr Wayne Warburton is a Professor of developmental psychology at Macquarie University and is also a registered psychologist. His research and scientific publications are primarily about aggressive behaviour, violent and prosocial media, and screen disorders. He is co-author of several statements by international panels of experts, including on media violence and on youth violence for the International Society for Research on Aggression and on video game violence for the US Supreme Court. He has won over 25 awards for his scholarship and teaching, including the 2018 Distinguished Scientific Contribution to Media Psychology and Technology Award from the American Psychological Association.
