During her time overseas before moving to Australia she has worked in South Pacific countries and the Middle East where she managed emergency departments, developed emergency medicine protocols and supervised junior doctors. She is an accredited supervisor for first- and second-year registrars (GPTQ)and medical students from University of Queensland and Griffith University. She is a member of National Faculty of Specific Interests (NFSI) RACGP for Diabetes and Obesity, co- author of the RACGP General Practice Management of type 2 Diabetes handbook, member of the Education Committee of the RACGP, Advisory Board member for REED education and member, State Advisory Committee (SAC) Queensland for Medical Defence Australia (MDA National).
