In this Healthed lecture, paediatric allergist, Dr Preeti Joshi discusses the different types of reactions to cow’s milk including both Ig-E and non-IgE mediated immune reactions as well as cow’s milk protein intolerance. She outlines how each of these conditions can be assessed, diagnosed and managed. In addition, she talks about symptoms in children that are often mistakenly attributed to cow’s milk, leading to unnecessary avoidance of this important nutritional source.
