Description

In this episode:

  • Dental referral requires a sleep physician referral and a conversation with the dentist is required to obtain all necessary information
  • If a patient is referred to a sleep physician, the GP needs to note and ask if a jaw advancement splint is an appropriate form of treatment
  • For patients who are considering alternative therapies, health professionals should highlight that in the end it is the lifestyle change that is hugely important, and not to rely on any one therapy

Expert: Dr Dinukshi Daniels, Fellow of Dental Sleep Medicine Program Manager

Host: Dr David Lim, GP and Medical Educator
