Listen to the episode

Description

In this episode:

  • Dental referral requires a sleep physician referral and a conversation with the dentist is required to obtain all necessary information
  • If a patient is referred to a sleep physician, the GP needs to note and ask if a jaw advancement splint is an appropriate form of treatment
  • GPs need to inform the patient that if they are thinking about an alternative, it is the lifestyle change that is hugely important and not to rely on just one method of therapy
