Obesity and heart failure are closely associated, and now it’s been proven that treating the obesity will treat the heart failure. In this talk, cardiologist Professor Andrew Sindone discusses how obesity causes heart failure, especially heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Importantly, he will also provide an update on the recommended management of HFpEF on patients with obesity, that includes using incretin therapy – therapy that has been proven to reduce both heart failure symptoms and mortality.
