  • Know your patient’s BMD; FRAX fracture risk calculator helps to refine risk
  • Exclude disease states that can impact on the skeleton
  • Lifestyle, appropriate supplementation and if pharmacological treatment is needed, they are all effective
  • We may stop bisphosphonate therapy after seven years and monitor the BMD. A new agent Romosozumab will soon be available
