Webcasts / Healthed Webcast – 26th May 2026
Healthed webcasts are a valuable educational platform, allowing viewers to gain up-to-date clinical knowledge through an easy, time-efficient format. Our free online seminars fill a huge unmet need amongst GPs outside of the major cities for quality, accessible education. Each webcast features four lectures and runs for two hours. While the majority of viewers are GPs, our webcasts are relevant for healthcare professionals including pharmacists and nurses.

Panel Discussion on Adjuvant Hormone Therapy Post Breast Cancer
View profile
Covid is certainly not the threat it was but it is still causing significant morbidity especially in vulnerable populations. In this talk, Canadian expert, Dr Peter Lin provides an overview on what is now known about Covid - in particular the pathophysiology of the infection and its systemic effects. He will also discuss the latest evidence-based recommendations for preventing and treating this still occurring disease, a common presentation in primary care.

Obviously, symptomatic gallstones are an indication for gallbladder surgery. But is one attack of cholecystitis enough? What about the 80% of cases where the gallstones are asymptomatic? What about gallbladder polyps? In this talk, surgeon, Dr David Yeo will answer these and many other real-world questions related to this common condition and provide an update on the latest recommendations for the assessment, investigation and management of gallbladder disease.

Adjuvant hormone therapy is prescribed as an insurance policy against recurrence following surgery for most women with oestrogen-positive breast cancer. But this strategy is not without its challenges. In this session, breast cancer surgeon, Dr Susannah Graham and medical oncologist, Dr Sanjeev Kumar will discuss various issues related to this preventive therapy including who most benefits from this treatment, choosing between tamoxifen and aromatase inhibitors, the recommended duration of therapy and common side effects and their management.

ECGs are still one of the most informative and accessible diagnostic tests for cardiac disease available in general practice. And early and accurate interpretation can, at times, be critical. In this talk, electrophysiologist, Professor Rukshen Weerasooriya presents a series of cardiac cases - complete with their ECG traces - and outlines the process of interpretation that leads to diagnosis and appropriate management as can occur in primary care.
