Patients on antiepileptic medication who have been seizure-free for at least two years may be able to be safely weaned off their tablets, an Australian neurologist says.
But only after a careful assessment of the risks including that of relapse, said Dr Hanka Laue-Gizzi, consultant neurologist at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.
