Fatty liver disease is the canary in the coalmine when it comes to adverse cardiovascular events. So says hepatologist, Associate Professor William Kemp who in this talk will be discussing how early identification, assessment and treatment of fatty liver disease can not only prevent the development of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, but can also address a key risk factor for future cardiovascular disease. He will also provide an update on the latest recommendations on who best to screen, how to screen, how to assess severity and how to manage fatty liver disease, including when to refer.
