In this Healthed lecture, A/Prof Mark Yates describes the interaction between dementia and these comorbidities. In addition, he outlines the practical interventions that can be undertaken in primary care to improve management of comorbidities in patients with progressive dementia who will find self-management more and more difficult over time, but who need to have these conditions under control to benefit, not only their overall health, but also their dementia.
