Description

68% of GPs rated this lecture as excellent

In this Healthed lecture, Prof Kim Delbaere explains that falls are a leading cause of injury, hospitalisation and loss of independence in older adults, yet preventable. This session translates current national and international falls prevention guidelines into practical actions for general practice. GPs will learn how to identify fall risk, which interventions are supported by strong evidence, and what does not reduce falls. The focus is on exercise, home modification, medication review and referral pathways, helping GPs move beyond generic advice and deliver targeted, evidence-based falls prevention in routine clinical practice.
