– Over the next few months – into 2021 – there will be data published on at least 19 new COVID-19 vaccines
– Most recently data has been published on two mRNA vaccines – namely the Moderna vaccine and the Pfizer BionTech vaccine
– Data on the Moderna vaccine shows it has 94.5% efficacy with no severe side effects (this is in ideal trial conditions – it is expected this vaccine will be about 80% effective when used in real-world conditions).
